Introducing the judge for the Age of Aquarius Art Exhibit - Sasha Phillips

Sasha Phillips combines seemingly incompatible disciplines—art and law—into a practice

focused on wellness, community connection, and women’s issues. Sasha
received rigorous academic training in painting and drawing and completed numerous portrait
commissions. While in school, she led several initiatives that provided art wellness and
creative engagement for the local community. Sasha participated in various national and
international juried and invitational exhibits, including an Art Against Violence exhibit scheduled
as part of Venezia Biennale 58, and received numerous awards. After receiving her law degree,
she expanded her focus on women’s issues into the legal realm while continuing to promote art
wellness to cope with the stress of a fast-paced, high-pressure profession and teach others these skills.
She also runs arts-based programming and workshops for victims of domestic
violence.
