WHAT is “The Age of Aquarius: A New Generation”?
The Age of Aquarius: A New Generation” is an art and music festival. It will
showcase the art and music of the Sixties and Seventies while still
celebrating a variety of contemporary music, visual arts and style.
The festival endeavors to raise funds for the AABC and stimulate the local,
downtown economy by fostering a sense of community and cultural
appreciation.
WHERE will the event take place?
An assortment of events will take place at a variety of venues including the
Art Center, the Butler Area Intermediate High School, numerous restaurants
and businesses, and various other locations in Butler’s downtown area.
A SPECIAL EXHIBIT will be on display at the ARTS CENTER, a tribute display
featuring individuals from Butler County who lost their lives in the War in
Vietnam.
WHEN will the event take place?
February 15th
through the 22nd
.
What is the PRICE OF ADMISSION to attend the festival?
A passport will be available for a nominal fee for special deals and promotions
at various locations.
Admission to some events, venues, exhibitions, and performances will be free or by donation.
The closing event of the festival will be a concert by “Burn the Jukebox”, a
nationally recognized group of young performers from the Lehigh Valley, PA
area. General Admission tickets will be available in advance for $20 online or
for $25 at the door.
WHO are the artists?
Local visual artists, performers, and musicians will be featured throughout
the week.
The festival culminates in a live performance by “Burn the Jukebox”.
